Here are the only 2 girl cousins, Morgan and Savannah.
We started the day the way all Smith gatherings begin, with food! After some good food and fellowship we gathered in the living room where Morgan "helped" Uncle Bubba remind us of the true reason for the season.

Mommy likes them better like this!
After we read the Christmas story it was time for gifts. Sadly, I didn't take too many pictures the whole day so I borrowed some pictures from other family members. Here are a few pictures of some of the wonderful things Morgan received.
Uncle Michael and Aunt Denise gave Morgan this "Sit to Stand Walker" and she has played with it every day since then. She LOVES it!
Aunt Debbie showing Morgan how to play with her new toy.
This lamb from Uncle Pat and Aunt Tammy is so neat! It holds a scent pack that's the same as the scent in our living room. How comforting when we're away from home!
She received wonderful things from everyone, but her favorite part was getting to show off for the family. At one point while we were opening gifts Morgan started screaming. She wasn't mad or anything, she just wanted to be heard over everyone else who was talking. Can we say, "Center of attention"?!
After all the gifts were opened, it was time to play! Here's a glimpse of what was going on.
"Wake up Uncle Michael!"

Uncle Gene is always so good at getting Morgan to sleep.
"Hey Andrew, can I borrow your hat?"
This is the best I could do with a group shot of everyone.
A little closer...
I've learned when traveling at night with an infant it helps to change her into her pj's before we get on the road so we had another wardrobe change, back into the day's original outfit. Look at her poor eyes in the picture. It is so obvious that she was DONE for the day, but she was a trooper for sure! This rocking chair was Steve's when he was little. Savannah borrowed it for a while, painted it, and returned it for Morgan so we had to try it out. I'm sure she'll be more excited when she's actually awake. =-)
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
