She Said Yes

Three years ago today I said, "Yes!"

and I'd do it all over again! I love you Stevo!

5 months!

Our sweet baby is 5 months old! Okay, so really she's been 5 months old for 12 days now, but life has been hectic and the blog has had to take a backseat. Better late than never, right?

Morgan, the day you turned 5 months old you weighed 14.1 pounds and you were 24.5" long.

You tried cereal for the first time. I wanted to wait until you were closer to 5 months to try it, but you absolutely refused to take your bottle so I thought that cereal was better than nothing. Here are some pictures of that adventure!

You were not a fan of cereal the first time you tried it, but once we made it a little thicker you decided that you really liked it. At the beginning of the month, you made a HUGE mess every time you ate so we usually fed you with nothing but a diaper on to make life easier for us, but you're getting much better at it now.

The other thing you did for the first time this month was roll from your tummy to your back. Most babies do this right at 4 months, but not you. You were almost 5 months old before you did that. I guess you just prefer to be on your tummy and that's just fine with me.

You still wake up once during the night (around 3:30) to eat and go right back to sleep. You take 3-4 naps a day.

You are the happiest baby I've ever seen and everyone else thinks so too. You love to talk (I have no idea who you'd get that from! hee hee) and squeal.

Your favorite toys are your bumbo seat, your Jumperoo, and your exersaucer.

You also love to study everyone; you're definitely a people watcher.

You continue to amaze your dad and me with the new tricks you learn each day. It seems as if you're constantly growing before our eyes and while it's difficult to watch you grow, you become more and more fun by the day. We're not wishing our timeaway, but enjoying each day as it comes. Thank you, sweet angel, for being you! We love you!

A House Divided

Growing up in the South, football is a way of life. Game day Saturdays are even more intense around our home since we live the life of a house divided. Steve and I are both extremely competitive and we're die-hard fans... for state rivals. What does this mean for our precious little one? We're going to let her decide, but I whisper "War Eagle" in one ear while her father is whispering "Roll Tide" in the other. This sweet baby gets to change clothes on Saturdays when AU and UA have different kick off times, but so far her daddy has been out of town several Saturdays so I get to dress her. Steve and I made a pact that we were not going to purchase things representing either team for her, but we wouldn't turn down things that were given to us. Here are some pictures of her sporting items for both teams.

I have to admit that this is one of my favorite pictures of my two sweeties despite their attire.

Morgan and Zac, one of her cousins

Morgan and Anna Kate, another cousin
Anna Kate was so sweet with "Baby Morgan" when they came to visit last weekend. Morgan studied every move she made and they became fast friends. I'm sure they'll make many memories together in the years to come.

Looks like an AU cheerleader to me.

"Warrrrrrrr Eagle, Hey!"

Number 1!

My new favorite picture of my sweet angel.

3 Month Portraits

I know these are incredibly late, but I'm posting them anyway. These were all taken by Amy McDaniel, a wonderful child photographer in Auburn.

Here's the sad part of this post- I haven't had any pictures printed since Morgan was 1 month old! I'm terrible at displaying pictures! Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions for displaying pictures? I'd appreciate the help.
